Snapshots

I taught Kate how to use our little point and shoot camera. It's opened up a whole new world for her. Daily I hear "Mom, can I take pictures?" It keeps the girls occupied for a long time. I'm a bit scared for the fate of the little camera (especially in Gwen's hands), but it's lived a long life. Here are a few of the snapshots the girls have taken.

Kate loves to have Gwen sit and pose for her. They change up the doll in the picture and Gwen practices her best smile. Below, Gwen was sleeping in late on a rainy Saturday morning. Kate was impatient for a playmate and woke her up with pictures. Gwen (unlike most of us) was happy to awake to a camera in her face.

Around the house. I think Gwen took more of these photos. Kate's head didn't quite make it into the shot.

And life around here. Mama changing the sheets and consoling an injured Gwen. I think that's my favorite picture of them all. One of the best parts of motherhood is being able to wipe those tears away and make it all better. How long will that last?

Disneyland

Our Disneyland passes expired the end of January so we got a few days in while we could. January really is the best time to go to Disneyland. It's the one month out of the year when it is not crowded and the weather is usually nice. We managed to see all the favorite princesses and went on toon town roller coaster twice. The girls were in heaven.

 Paul took a day off work to join in the fun. We braved the rain and walked on every ride there! Kate was a big girl and went on space mountain and star tours for the first time with her daddy.  Maybe we'll go again next January!
