Disneyland! While most kids are back to school the end of August, we didn't start school until after Labor Day this year. We were able to get in a few disney days before school started. It was hot, but we had a great time!
We visited a special fairy garden store that was amazing! We all loved looking at the different fairy garden displays.
We went to a fun wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art. The same place we had our wedding reception at 11 years ago! It was a beautiful evening and fun to be back there. We've been blessed with 11 great years of marriage.
Angels game on Labor Day. Despite it being very hot we had a fun time and the girls really seemed to like it.
Annual "Dinner for Scholars" on the night before school started. Our theme for the school year is "Kindness begins with me". We had a toast for the girls and special father's blessings.
And here they are on their first day of school! So excited to be in 1st and 3rd grade!
And Clara couldn't be left out!
I snapped a picture of Gwen's writing at back to school night. We did have an amazing summer!
I snuck away for a BYU freshman roommate reunion in Mesquite. It was just like old times, those girls are so fun. We were able to go to the St. George temple together, which was a special experience. We ate lots of delicious food and stayed up way too late talking! It was a fun weekend.
Kate and Gwen saved their summer money for a special new toy they wanted. They bought "Lil Woodzeez" food truck and bakery. Loving all things miniature, these sets are so darling! They did a great job working hard this summer on jobs, reading, writing and their goals.
Grant and Kelsey and family came to visit! I wish I took more pictures! We had fun at Disneyland with them, taking Grants awesome inflatable kayak in the waves at the beach, and Kelsey and Kate baked some delicious butterscotch brownies. We loved having them--come visit again!
We laid to rest one of my heros, Grandpa Fernley. He had 96 beautiful years of life and was married to my Grandpa for 74 years. I've always been close with them and will miss him. He always made me feel loved, was always smiling and brought positive energy to everyone around him. It was a special day celebrating his life.
Found these selfies on my phone from these silly girls.
Gwen wanted me to take a picture of her in her matching bitty baby pj's. They are getting too small for her, but she loves them so. Fresh out of the bath they are both ready for bed!
We have such cute Sister missionaries serving in our area. We had them over for dinner and the girls loved it.
