Monday night we celebrated her birthday at Disneyland! We watched the parade, went on Gwen's new favorite ride, Big Thunder Mountain, and ate clam chowder with Mimi and Papa.
Kate and her friend, Anna, and I had the opportunity to volunteer at the OC Food Bank one Saturday afternoon. They have a really cool kids corner set up just for kids volunteering. We bagged apples and took a tour of the food bank. I was proud of the girls for how hard they worked trying to help out families in need.
Morning walks and stroller-blading with Clara. Gwen loves the swing in our neighbors yard and always requests to walk by their house. Clara loves to go fast! I love the stroller for balance.
Usually we end up in the backyard after like this. Clara loves helping me water and getting all wet. She also loves having friends over and going to Gram's house. And taking a walk down our street to the "bridge" in front of the vacant house covered with weeds. She will be sad when that house finally sells!
One Saturday morning we went to Target so Gwen could spend a birthday gift card. She chose this barbie set and was so nice to let Clara play with her.
The sneaky leprechauns left Lucky Charms at our house on St. Patrick's Day. Clara wouldn't let go of the box. She thought those magical marshmallows were so delicious!
We've had some warm, summer like weather and have already enjoyed Saturdays in the pool.
Now that Kate is 8 she was able to go with me to the Women's Broadcast at church. We went out to Slater's 50/50 before for some enormous burgers. I love spending time with Kate, she is so fun to be with. I'm proud of the girl that she is!
And a few random pictures. Gwen and her friend, June, having an after school play date. We got a surprise visit with the Easter bunny. I went to a cake night with friends and learned some new baking tricks. Kate reading a story to Gwen. Love it when they get in good moods and are so sweet to each other. It's not always that way!
