We started the month of March celebrating Gwen's 4th birthday! She is so excited to be 4, and will tell every stranger she meets that "I'm four" while holding her little 4 fingers up. We had a fun day celebrating with her at school, eating strawberry cake and going to Disneyland in the evening. She had dinner with the princesses and all her dreams came true. 

Some things I want to remember about Gwen at age 4:
She is a night owl. As I type this at 8:50 pm she is sitting at the top of the stairs asking for someone to come tuck her in again. Kate is sound asleep. And at 8 am tomorrow Gwen will probably be sleeping in her bed. She likes to stay up late and sleep in.
One of her favorite phrases is "Mom, I'll make you a deal." She seems to have already learned the art of negotiating and is probably better at it than she should be.
She loves books and story time. Her current favorites are Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Miss Rumphius.
She loves to sing and Kate always says "there goes Gwen again, making up songs." She is constantly dancing around and singing.
She loves to play with tiny things. Legos, polly pockets and squinkies are her favorite.
Once a food lover, Gwen has now decided to be a picky eater and mostly a vegetarian, making an exception for bacon and deli meat. At dinner she'd rather eat raw carrots than a cheeseburger. Not sure how long this phase will last.
Her smile lights up a room makes anyone feel happy.
We love having Gwen in our family.

In March the girls started swim team at a neighborhood pool. The most relaxing 30 minutes of my day are spent sitting by the pool watching them practice with their team. 

Paul and I spent two nights in Las Vegas on our last getaway without kids for a long time. We ate good food, stayed at a fancy hotel, walked a lot, got a massage and relaxed. It was a nice break and we were ready to come home to our little ones. (And you can only stay in Vegas for so long when you don't gamble or drink.)

I got to chaperon Gwen's preschool class field trip to Centennial Farms. These cute kids get so excited about the big yellow school bus and holding baby chicks. It's fun to be with them.
