April

Kate came with us on a date night--we loved having her! She tried sushi for the first time (don't think she liked it much), was a great conversationalist at dinner and had fun walking around Fashion Island with her. She was most excited when she saw there was a Barnes and Noble and wanted to shop there first. Love our book loving girl.

Gwen lost her top tooth! She pulled it out all by herself and we love her cute new smile.

Clara is always entertaining us. Kate and Gwen love to give her mohawk hairstyles in the jacuzzi. Clara loves to pretend to be an American Girl doll and ride their horsey.

We spent a morning of Spring Break with our cousins.

Fun at Disneyland with Mimi and Papa. Clara liked the Winnie the Pooh ride and Gwen was so excited about her new bubble gun. She pronounces gun "gone" I think because of her Sri Lankan Montessori teachers accent. Either way I love it.

Sisters playing with roley poley's in the front yard.

And bubbles with friends in the backyard. Sure love our 3 girls.

Mother's Day 2015

I have the best job. These girls have all my heart. I watch them play together and feel my heart bursting. They bring so much joy and are such a gift. They make me appreciate my own mother so much more! Mothering is fun, rewarding, exhausting and challenging. I'm getting wrinkles already worrying about them. Am I teaching them everything I'm supposed to be? Am I a good enough example? What am I forgetting? They amaze me constantly with their bravery and kindness, their search for knowledge and wonder. I sound like a Hallmark card, but it's all true. Mothering is the best job I've ever had.

Spring Break

We stayed close to home and ditched packing suitcases for Spring Break. We did a few day trips and loved our staycation. Our first day trip was to Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena. The girls had fun exploring, building rockets, riding bikes, assembling a light circuit and testing the laws of physics. We enjoyed lunch at Lemonade after and the girls conked out on the way home.

Our second day trip was to Joshua Tree National Park. Filled with rocks, boulders, cacti, Joshua trees and lots of blue skies, it's a strangely beautiful place. We hiked and climbed rocks. Our favorite activity was picnicking amidst the boulders and finding crevices to climb through and boulders to climb over.

Easter

We love Spring! Kate and Gwen were so excited to color Easter Eggs after school on their early out day. Clara was happy to take her nap and not spill dye everywhere!

Our ward Easter egg hunt. Once Clara opened one egg with M&M's inside she was happy to eat candy out of the grass.

We had a relaxing Easter weekend listening to General Conference. Easter morning we watched a video about the Savior's resurrection and went downstairs to see what the Easter bunny had left. The girls were so excited to find that the Easter bunny had left his footprints all up and down our street, visiting all of the houses with little children. What a fun surprise that was! We ate cinnamon rolls and stayed in our pj's to watch conference. I caught this sweet moment through the window of the three girls blowing bubbles together outside. I love seeing them play nicely together!

We got dressed in the afternoon and went to Mimi and Papa's for an Easter feast and another egg hunt.

It was a nice afternoon spent with good food and family. We are so thankful for our Savior and the gift of the resurrection and eternal families.
