We welcomed Spring this past month and got our summer garden started. Gwen has been my gardening partner; planting seeds, watering and eating strawberries. We are excited to add 2 more fruit trees to our yard--a tangerine and apple-- with hopes of fruit next year!

The girls had Spring Break and we stayed home and did local outings. We went for a pony ride and visited the zoo at Irvine Park, had milkshakes on the Pier, did some craft projects, played lots of legos and took a day trip to Carlsbad to see the flower fields.

The Nelsons came to visit from Seattle. We love having friends come and stay with us! They were hard core Disney go-ers. We tagged along for one afternoon and were impressed with how fast they navigated the park and all we got to do and see. Come again soon!

My mom and I were supposed to go to New York for her birthday in September--but once I found out I was pregnant, we moved the trip up a few months. It was great being back in the city--there is no place like it. We walked, shopped, ate, saw a play, ate some more, visited with old friends and had fun together.

Paul had a conference in Scottsdale and we tagged along. The girls get so excited to stay in hotels and this one does not disappoint! The weather was warm and perfect. While Paul worked, we lounged at the pool, went on water slides, walked to restaurants, went on walks searching for bunnies and enjoyed the road trip. I think my job is better than his. It was also nice to see Grammy Tanner.

Our front yard "swinging tree" has provided hours of entertainment and Kate makes sure to leave a note for the gardeners each week to please not cut her branch off. We're feeling grateful for our blessed life and looking forward to the coming months!
