Our Halloween celebrations and candy consumption began the weekend before Halloween at our church's trunk or treat. And continued with my mom's annual Halloween party.
The day of Halloween I went from one school parade to the next and it was SO much fun! The girls loved it all and looked great in their costumes. Gwen wore 4 different costumes to different Halloween events over the weekend. She wore an old witch costume, Kate's old princess costume, a mermaid and Hawaiian girl from our dress up. Way to keep things interesting, Gwen!
Halloween Evening was spent trick or treating with neighbors and walking through the Wizard of Oz block party. A street in our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween and has stage shows going on in different yards along the street. There was even a tornado simulator, hydraulic bike, and a yellow brick road. These people are serious about Halloween!
Because we live so close to the "Halloween Street" we got a ton of trick or treaters. Gwen's favorite part of the night may have been handing out candy--she did it for 2 hours! We're finally coming down from the sugar high and talk of next years costumes has already begun.
