Clara was given a special blessing by her dad. Paul's parents and Lauren and Michael were in town and all of my siblings were able to attend. It was special to have everyone there with us. Paul blessed her that she would be a peacemaker in our home, that her body would be strong and healthy throughout her life, that she would be faithful, that she would have a friendship with her sisters, among other things. It was a beautiful blessing. Paul said that she was bright eyed and stared at him through the entire blessing. I wonder what goes on in those little minds. Such a big soul in just a little body. Clara wore a white dress and had a pink satin blanket; the same one that I was blessed in, as well as her sisters, Kate and Gwen. Clara is such a joy and a sweet baby. She brings so much happiness into our home.

That first picture with Clara peering up at the camera is just the sweetest. It's so great that so many family members were there with you. Hooray for babies!
