Gwen turns 2!

Last week we celebrated Gwen's 2nd birthday. One of her favorite foods is strawberries, so I made strawberry country cake to celebrate. Gwen takes after her mama and loves food. She will eat almost anything, at anytime. To balance out all of her eating, she is very active! Always running, climbing, jumping and falling. And her first words after any fall amidst the tears are "need a band-aide!".  Gwen is very dramatic, stubborn and has a great sense of humor. Clifford the big red dog is especially hilarious to Gwen.
Gwen loves to talk and her vocabulary expands daily. A favorite phrase of hers is "do it myself". She wants to be close to her big sister always and wants to do whatever Kate is doing. She likes to drive with the windows down and takes her shoes off to stick her toes out of the window. She likes to sing songs and her favorites are "If you're happy and you know it" and "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam". She likes to go to Costco and asks to go often. She is always wanting to help me with things around the house and I frequently find her "helping" clean the toilet. Thanks, Gwen. She is my sweet little buddy and adds a lot of fun to our family.
Above, Kate and Gwen have an after dinner painting session with liquid watercolors that her Grandparents gave her. Below Gwen checks out her very own log cabin! The girls have already had so much fun playing house and store and eating lunch in their new (to them) playhouse.
Happy Birthday Gwen girl! We love you.
