We visited the Point Loma tidepools and got up close with the sea anemones and crabs.
Spent the day at Balboa Park. We visited the Science Center--a huge hit with the kids and wandered around the park and were impressed with the architecture. And what park trip is complete without a ride on the train and carousel?
Flew kites on Kite Hill in Mission Bay.
Took a boat ride in Mission Bay. The girls loved watching all the seals sunbathe. We ate out at restaurants, enjoyed the sea breeze and spending time with family we don't get to see often enough!

I love Balboa park and Del Mar beach. You are killing me with your southern california dream life... we're here in a hurricane.
