Yellow watermelon and our garden's bounty. Kate's been asking when we could get another yellow watermelon since January. We finally made it to the farm stand and picked one up. They are delicious!
Ballet. The girls took a ballet class at the rec center and both loved it. I smiled the whole time watching them. Gwen would try her hardest to do first position and plie. They are adorable little ballerinas and it was fun to have them in a class together.
Kate and I saw Mary Poppins and we both loved it. She especially liked Mary flying out into the audience and the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious dance scene.
Lots of time at the beach with friends. We'd go in the morning, afternoon and evening. The girls love the ocean and are getting used to the waves.
Art projects outside. We stopped by Michael's one morning and picked up little "treasure boxes" for the girls to paint. They like tiny things and have had fun keeping their special "treasures" like rocks and plastic rings in it.
A visit from Grant, Kelsey and sweet baby Will. He was so easy-going and mellow--that's lucky for a first baby! He was just a few weeks old and I loved holding such a tiny baby.
Friends came over to play. We always love friends in the house!
Naps outside when she's too sandy to transfer from the car to her bed.
Disneyland with cousins. It's been a busy and fun August!

What a happy and fun summer! I love your pictures! The kids had the best time at your house! Thanks again for that! You are the sweetest! AND yellow watermelon, where do you get that? It looks amazing!
Wow, looks like so much fun! Wish we could play at the beach with you--ah, evenings by the ocean are so beautiful. Miss you, Jill!
