Decorating cookies with friends after school.
Visiting Santa at our church Christmas party. I love the sequence of Clara's faces.
Decorating our little Christmas tree. We were going to skip getting a live tree this year because of traveling, but after smelling the fresh trees at home depot I couldn't resist.
A surprise afternoon at Legoland! We pulled the girls out of school early and surprised them with a few hours at Legoland.
Mimi and Papa treated us to The Grinch Musical. It was a great show!
Sweet sisters. I love capturing moments like this.
A few random pictures from December... dropping gifts off at the tree at the library. The girls enjoyed picking out gifts for needy kids, and keep saying how they wonder if the kids liked them. Paul was in charge of cooking the eggs for our church Christmas breakfast. It was a family team effort cooking 140 eggs! Thankfully Gwen is a master egg cracker. Hopefully there weren't too many shells in the eggs! And our church did a live nativity that was so beautiful and inspiring! A great evening to remember the reason for the season.
This blurry picture of Clara and her "do" as she calls it. This bear annoyingly sings "The Night Before Christmas" and Clara carried it around whenever she could begging for people to turn the Christmas song on it. Thankfully, it's now put away with the rest of the decorations.
A friday evening spent at home awaiting the jacuzzi in her bathing suit, trying out her new winter hat for Colorado and doing Christmas puzzles.
We traveled to Colorado to see family and were greeted with snow falling! It was beautiful. Clara was like a fish out of water on the airplane and we were relieved the flight was only 2 hours!
Family gingerbread contest. Paul's palm trees won best roof. We had fun decorating and eating candy.
We did a Polar Express train ride in Golden that was the real deal! The girls loved the hot chocolate and cookies and seeing Santa, of course.
Christmas Eve nativity chaos.
And Christmas morning bliss. The girls were so excited that Santa came to Colorado! He brought them the Lego Friends Heartlake city mall and it's been played with for hours already. We were spoiled by family and had a wonderful Christmas day celebrating.
Christmas night we got a ton of fresh snow. We had fun sledding and playing in the backyard.
We loved spending time with family and wish we lived closer to everyone!
