One way that Kate references time is by relating events to holidays, birthdays, trips, etc. So she knows that it has to be Summer before it's Halloween and Thanksgiving before Christmas. She LOVES holidays and after St. Patrick's day quickly was on to what the next holiday would be. We got a few early Easter catalogs in the mail last month and after scouring them she requested we throw a little "Easter Party". We invited her cousins over to join us for lunch and some cookie decorating. Kate also picked up the Fancy Nancy Tea Party book at the library and used it to decide on the menu, decor and activities for the "party". She was very particular and talked about it for days! It was fun to watch her look forward to it and fun to have her cousins over to our house to play!
