This year our Independence Day celebrations did not disappoint! We went from party to party and the girls loved it. The girls decided to sleep in until 8 (a rare occasion) and we woke them to go to the pancake breakfast at church. From there we happened upon a neighborhood party at the park and met some friends there. After attempting naps we went over to Nate + Dara's for such a fun BBQ and pool party. They have a huge backyard with everything a kid could dream of. Pool, trampoline, swing set, ping-pong, tricycles and bikes and lots of grass. We stayed there until dark and then caught fireworks at the park on our way home. We had 2 very tired girls by the end of the day, but Gwen managed to stay up until 10pm until her meltdown! It took us a day to recover, but we're now back to normal schedules. The girls were so excited to get decked out in their 4th of July gear.

Gwen loved the pool. After about 3 hours in the water she was the last one left in all by herself.
And what 4th of July is complete without sparklers! Gwen wasn't so sure about them but Kate loved it. It was a great day! God Bless America!
