We've been trying to get together with friends and go camping this Summer, but we haven't been able to make it happen. We were so excited when our cousins and friends, Dara + Nate invited a group of us to camp for a night in their backyard! They have the perfect, large yard for a party and room for all of our tents. We camped in style and comfort with 3 air mattresses in our tent.
The kids loved this. They were so excited about the tents...
The toys...
The swimming...
Watching a movie outside...
Roasting marshmallows for S'mores...
And then eating donuts and fruit in the morning.
Everyone got a decent nights sleep and was so happy! Gwen was the energizer bunny, I don't know where she got all of her energy that day. She didn't take a nap and then swam, ran and played until 11pm that night and never had a meltdown. Just finally laid down on her pillow and crashed. She was so happy to be around the other kids. It was fun making memories with friends and watching the kids excitement. Maybe next year we'll make it out into the woods... or maybe not.

Wow, that looks so fun! What a great time--and I'll take the backyard! We tried a night of camping while we were in Maine. It was fun....you know, that certain kind of fun...That actually looks SO fun for reals!
