Yum. We ate the perfect s'mores last night. We went camping at Black Rock State Park. It's less than an hour from our house and really pretty. After our wedding we spent some of our gift money on camping equipment with good intentions to use it. We went once while living in Utah to Zion's National Park. We even brought our camping gear to Manhattan thinking maybe we would get a chance to use it. While we considered pitching our tent in the living room for fun a few times, we never did. So we are now determined to get some use out of all the great gear that we have. We don't think we can fit another kid in the tent though, so we'll see how long it lasts. The campground was nice and grassy. The bathrooms had running hot water, which is my kind of camping. We roasted hot dogs and s'mores. Kate entertained herself for a long time with her new favorite food (actually her only favorite food--she doesn't seem to like much else besides milk) zwieback toast. There is a little lake that we hiked to in the morning. It was a little too chilly for swimming though. I can't believe how fast summer went, and now fall is here.

How fun!!! I miss those summers at Lake Nacimiento. We finally bought a tent this summer and Ethan took Kels on the Father Daughter campout for our ward but I'm still waiting my turn. Hopefully before the snow comes.
Looks like a fun time! Kate is so cute!!
What a fun little adventure. She is growing up so fast and getting cuter every day.
Tanner - what is a s'more? that does look good though
